My Pain suggests that a private feeling does not always show the same face outside. The emotional electronic setting meets the cracked, coloured face in the artwork. From a distance it forms one image; closer attention reveals separate colours and breaks.
You can be beside a feeling without explaining it. Rhythm gives that emotion a place to move, leaving room for an outward face and an inner state to exist together. In headphones, My Pain offers a moment to notice the distance between the expression that is visible and the intensity that remains inside.
